My Sample Opinion: Aveeno Living Color, Color Preserving Shampoo and Conditioner

This would be my first review for the Target beauty bag that I received last week full of goodies. I promised to you that I would try them out and let you know what I thought about them. So the first sample I tried was the Aveeno Living Color, Color Preserving Shampoo, this is formulated specially for medium to thick hair which is my type of hair.

Before receiving this sample I’ve never seen Aveeno shampoo’s before, I knew about their skincare line but this was completely new to me. So Aveeno claims that this shampoo “is designed for the unique needs of color-treated hair. This rich-lathering shampoo breathes new life into your color by revealing vibrant shine with each wash, while perfectly balanced cleansers carefully lift away impurities to enhance color clarity. Our ACTIVE NATURALS formula features the power of color-fortifying lupine botanicals, scientifically shown to smooth the cuticle, helping to lock in color for long-lasting, healthy brilliance for vibrant color that comes to life wash after wash.”

Ok so the shampoo smells real nice it was this flowery scent but not that overpowering it’s very natural, it lathers very well with a small amount of product which I think is a plus for this lasting more time. My hair felt real clean after the first wash and I did have spray and several products on my hair that day (for testing purposes..jeje).

Next it was conditioner time, let me tell you the truth here, as the sample came in a plastic package I was having a hard time opening it, then I noticed that it got ripped from below and most of the product got wasted. I could only get a small application of this (snif, snif), however this was awesome, I really liked how easily my hair got detangled and felt soft.

After the shower I let my hair air dry and did not apply any products, when it got completely dry my hair looked shiny, smelled nice, and my ends were not rough. And let me tell you that I only get this result when I apply my hair mask once a week.

All in all, I just loved this product, I would have to test it for longer time to determine if the color lasting claim is true, because I do think that one sample is not enough to decide, but I would definitely purchase this to try it out. They both cost around $5.00 to $7.00 USD, so I don’t think they are expensive.

And that is it for me, hope you enjoyed and if you’ve tried this let me know what your thoughts,

Until next time,

xoxo
