What’s New at the Drugstore

Hey everybody, happy Monday! I am just recovering from a power nap I had, I just love naps, I don’t normally take naps, but when I do I feel so refreshed and my mind is clear and ready to keep going, but today we are not talking about naps. Today I will be talking about what’s new at the drugstore, it’s been a while since I did one of these, and lately all the brands have decided to release new products, I will be showing you what they are and giving you some reviews on some I have already tried. So stay tuned and enjoy!

Until Next Time,

xoxo

My TOP 13 of 2013

Hello my friends, today while writing I noticed a pattern I am currently only posting on Friday’s, I don’t know why but seems fit right now, lol. So today I wanted to talk a little bit about my TOP 13 products of 2013, which let me say the majority of this products are still part of my favorites.

These products came with me in my Long Ecuadorian Journey and I would say they saved me big time while being away. As time passes by I noticed that I am more defined on the products that suit me well, don’t get me wrong I do LOVE trying new products, but for quite some time (almost half part of the year) these were the products that helped my skin in times of need (especially because Makeup in South America is freakingly expensive…Almost $20 USD for a Maybelline Mascara…gimme a break).

So here they are my Most Loved products of 2013, hoping that you enjoy. If you have any comments please leave them below!!

Until Next Time,

xoxo

PS. BTW I was asked to do a review for the Maybelline Pore Eraser by the lovely MuaByNikki, hang in there girl that review will be definitely coming next week so stay tuned.

Get Rid of Dark Circles Using this Inexpensive Concealer

I love drugstore products; they never seize to amaze me. The past couple of days I was in the search of an inexpensive concealer; I have been using my Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer for 2 years now and even though it works wonders I consider it a bit heavy. So now that spring is on and summer is coming I needed something lighter (and due to the fact that I started breaking out).

Honestly I did want to save money so I went straight to the drugstore and found this:

Meet the Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer & Highlighter; for $4.97 (at Wal-Mart) this little tube can help you get rid of your dark circles while brightening your under eye area. In theory this product covers imperfections and “adapts to your skin tone”, it also comes with a brush that helps you apply the product under your eye area.

My Opinion is short and simple; this product is light, very easy to blend and covers my dark circles amazingly.

Also, this product works great for people that like me wear glasses. This is because when you wear glasses, you need to highlight your under eye area or else you look tired and dull. Or at least that is what happens to me when I don’t.

So YES, I would recommend this product if you want to get rid of your dark circles while giving your under eye area a nice glowy look.

Until Next Time,

xoxo

What to buy with $5.00 bucks?

I remember when I was a kid and my grandpa used to give me my allowance, oh glorious days where with only a dollar you could make the world your own… or at least that’s what I thought while making the candy man rich. Today I am learning about the value of money, but what would I do if my grandpa was here and he gave me $5.00 dollars to spend? Well maybe I will hit the drugstore (ok that sounded bad) and get some beauty items (ok that is less creepy).

Here I have some ideas of what I could buy:

  • Nivea Lip Butter Tins $3.99. These are the hype right now, they are all over beauty blogs and YouTube channels, what are they? Well basically cute lip butters in a nice and small tin. I haven’t tried them yet but I would really like to, in flavors from caramel cream kiss to raspberry rose kiss they seem to be a nice product to carry in your makeup bag. I had tried other products from Nivea and I really liked them so I am guessing this would be a good purchase.

  • Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color $1.99. I remember when I was at high school and Jordana used to be a brand only sold in a small store near my house, this was cheap makeup and not that bad but not that good. Nowadays, Jordana has improved and has surprised me, my sister got this one a while ago in Watermelon Juice and I used it and instantly fell in love, it smells watermelon and it is a bit sheer but while applying it through the day the color intensifies giving you these bright pink lips. And for the price you cannot go wrong.

  • Wet n Wild Trio $2.99. You can never go wrong with these little palettes, they are pigmented, very easy to blend and you can create the coolest looks with these. My favorite ones: Silent Treatment and Walking on Eggshells.

  • Wet n Wild Lipstick $.99 cents. With that price I could buy me 4 different colors which is amazing, I love these lippies because they work amazing they are not sheer and they don’t dry my lips (either way I always apply lip balm before).

What would you buy with $5.00?

Tips for Purchasing Makeup

Today I have a question for all of you, how do you purchase your own makeup? The other day I was thinking the same. With a massive amount of products and a wide variety of brands out there in the market, there are times when I say to myself, what should I get? Now, I cannot imagine what it would be if I didn’t have a bit of knowledge about makeup. It’s hard to know what to buy and how much to spend if you haven’t tested something before or if you don’t have experience.
