Happy Friday!

Hey everyone,  so  I am happy happy because it’s finally Friday, I’ve been running up and down all week and I am happy that I have a brief time to breath an relax.

image

In the meantime I have some great reviews comming on the next couple of weeks and a haul!! Who would say that it would be more fun to shop after Christmas…almost every store is having great sales so I’ll keep you posted on that.

image

Yesterday I went to Target because I needed to get some stuff and got carried away by an essie nail polish, it looked so pretty in the display, and then came home, applied it and finished with this.

image

I don’t know, I am still in the meh mood, because on the display picture, the nails looked like a full coverage polish. But then I read in the bottle and it said  top coat…wth I felt miss leaded however I will try to work with it..but no I wouldn’t recommend it to you my friends.

So that’s it for me, I hope you guys enjoy your weekend, be safe, have fun and will see you next time.

Kiss My Nails

I LOVE painting my nails, so for a couple of months I had these nails stickers I received from Kiss, I got them as a price when I won a challenge from Influenster, but really was in the fence of trying them on, in the past I tried the nail strips from Sally Hansen and I must say I really didn’t like them.

So the other day I wanted something edgy and thought of giving Kiss a try.

Now, I don’t know if I have become more skilled doing stuff to my nails because these were pretty easy to apply, I just filled my nail a little then just peeled the sticker and placed it in my nail.

I just did an accent nail because the stickers are a little bit flamboyant for my taste and just went with one of my favorite Rimmel nail polishes Pink-a-Boo

I loved these because they were easy to apply, no need to wait for them to dry and I have had them for 4 days now and just a little bit chipping in my right nail (but I admit I did house shores), the only thing though is that I only wished they had more designs like the Sally Hansen Do.

So if you are looking for something quick to glam up your nails, give these a try.

Until Next Time

Spring Nails

I’ve been hearing here and there that spring is right around the corner, I think I’ve mentioned in a couple of posts as well, but dang I am so cold today that I don’t see winter giving me a break any time soon. Anyways, that didn’t stop me from playing with spring colors on my nails.

On Saturday, I went and got my gel nails removed because 1. They grew 2. I didn’t want them anymore and 3. I needed some color in my nails. You could say I got overboard, but I think I saw a similar look in a post I read last week and I saw it in a YouTube video. I just thought it was so cute, and even though it took some Frankenstein Collection of Nail Polishes I am very happy with the results, only hopping that this will last the entire week.

Nail Polishes I used:

  • Wet n Wild – I Need a Refresh Mint
  • Nabi – Neon Light Pink
  • Sinful Colors – Unicorn
  • Essie – Turqoise & Caicos
  • Revlon – Gum Drop

Until Next Time,

How to Take Care of Gel Nails

Gel nails, they look so nice and polished when you have them on, but honestly you do have to take care of them. I got gel nails a week ago and even though I love how they look and have saved me a lot of time in doing my nails two times a week, I have been feeling my cuticles some kind of dry so here I am today showing you my nail care routine which it’s easy and leaves my hands soft and gentle.

Until Next Time,

Christmas Nails & Makeup Bummers

So I haven’t properly said Happy Monday, so here I am “Happy Monday” if you are one of the people who has a case of a Monday, Chillax my friend because almost half of the day has gone away. Here at my city we had our first official winter day today, really, we were having so nice temperatures (which is very odd for Texas during this time of year). So today I had to apply the layer technique before going out of home.

I hope that you had a wonderful weekend and that you are almost over with your Christmas Shopping, if you haven’t finished yet and are still in the need for some ideas I would suggest you to go and check out my posts for Christmas Gifts ideas; you can click here and here

Now, on more important news, last night I was thinking of doing something Christmassy to my nails. Honestly, I suck at nail art. I mean I can paint my nails normally and everything with no problem, but when it comes to adding a design or something cute that might involve tape I really am a mess. But I didn’t want to go with red only. So I decided to add a tiny golden stripe to the tips.

You can try out this with any colors that you have but I chose a tiny cherry red color that I have from OPI from 2 years ago, and then I added the tiny golden stripe to my tips using an Ulta mini polish. I discovered that the tip between coats is patience and a very good top coat that can help your nails dry faster. I am crossing my fingers for this manicure to last me all week because I have a lot of work at home and the office.

In other news, over the weekend I did some shopping, I was in the need of a new foundation, so I had to hit Sephora because I got a $15.00 Gift Card when you spent $50.00 bucks, which coming from Sephora is a big deal, so I didn’t know if I should repurchase my Makeup Forever foundation or try something new; truthfully I love trying new products, so I ended up getting something else (expect a haul soon)…but what I wanted to talk about was something else I got that I am really disappointed.

So, I heard a while ago about these pretty lippies form the brand Bite Beauty, since then, I’ve been dying to try them out. So I decided to get a small kit that comes with a lip gloss and two tiny pretty lipsticks (Colour + Shine to Go Kit). Colors seemed to be gorgeous; so yesterday we were going out and I decided to try the Santee gloss. First Con, the scent, I don’t know why but mine didn’t smell good, I don’t know if these are supposed to have a scent or not, but the scent was somehow like old product. Then the product itself felt goopy and looked like a paste over my lips, not a natural look in my opinion, and I think it ended chapping my lips as well. Not a good experience.

Today I decided to give it another try, so I used one of the small lipsticks I used the one in fig, which is kind of a mauve neutral color. Have you smelled lipsticks when they have expired? You know that strange old scent? Well this definitely is old; I didn’t like it and could not bear de scent.

I am not judging this brand by any means, maybe these products are good and I only got a Lemon (a very sour one), but definitely I am returning this because it cost me $15.00 dollars and I will not be using them. I am really sad, because now I am on the fence of trying Bite products again, what would you think? Have you tried them? Are they supposed to smell like that?

Anyways, that’s it, now I have to start thinking what can I get for $15.00 on Sephora, any suggestions?

Until Next Time,

xoxo

Maine Attraction NOD

Now that autumn has started my nails have as well, there is something about fall that is very fascinating I just love it. So I wanted to show you my nail of the day, nothing fancy, but the color is amazing. A little background story about this nail polish, I got this from ULTA, they were having a sale over all their own brand polishes from $5.00 USD to $2.00 USD, and I wanted to get more colors but believe me I behaved and only got this one.

I think this is the perfect color for this season:

Nail of the Day: Shades of Pink

Hi everyone, so the other day I found this amazing picture, it is a chandelier done with pieces of lace, how cool is that!! I adore the different shades of pink which inspired me in the colors of my nails for this week.

For this I used three colors, Essie’s Ballet Slippers, Nail Color in Soft Pink, and Essence Ultimate Pink

And this is the final result; it is kind of ombre styled nails, done in an easy way.

Nails, Shoes and Spinning…

Hey everyone, happy Monday! So here I am today starting a new week. So if you haven’t noticed by now I kind of suck for making cool designs in my nails, so yesterday I saw this cool idea about some ombre nails in lilac and purple… long story short it didn’t work..jeje so I ended up with this:
