Getting #RadiantWithAVEENO

Hello everybody, happy almost Friday everybody, this week was very busy for me, month end is comming and you know it can drive someone cray cray. Especially since I am training someone (more on that on other post) Anyways, I have a little time off so I want to talk about a product that I started using a couple of weeks ago. Honestly in the past I had some trouble finding a good face moisturizer. I know it is important to moisturize your face day and night, but as I always have had oily skin I must admit I sometimes tend to skip that step from my routine.

However, when I do use moisturizers I tend to use the same for morning and night, I don’t know why but I really feel it is a hassle to have night and day cream, it’s just too much for me, especially if I am running from one way to another. So a couple of weeks I received the Aveeno Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes.

Let’s be honest, I know this is a tone corrector moisturizer (and I do have some hyper-pigmentation), but in there it says you can use it day and night so I was sold with that. The product is a bit expensive around $16.00 in the drugstore and comes with 1.1fl Oz. Scent is like mostly Aveeno products, if you had use them you’ll know what I am talking about. Product comes out lightweight and a little bit goes a long way, I normally use a pea size amount, and have been using it constantly day and night for the past 2 or 3 weeks.

Now, I honestly have not noticed a big change in my hyper-pigmentation, but this moisturizer is the bomb.com, let me explain why, basically it has not broken me out in any way, and does not make my makeup look shinny crazy during the day. This is a very big deal if you have very Oily Skin and are in the middle of the summer in a hot humid weather. So YES I love this moisturizer, maybe it’s not why because it was designed for but hey it works great, so I really appreciate receiving this little bottle and definitely will repurchase when this is over, which I guess will not be soon cuz I still have a heck load of product left.

Have you used this moisturizer? If so what you thought about it?

Until Next Time,

xoxo

Kiss My Nails

I LOVE painting my nails, so for a couple of months I had these nails stickers I received from Kiss, I got them as a price when I won a challenge from Influenster, but really was in the fence of trying them on, in the past I tried the nail strips from Sally Hansen and I must say I really didn’t like them.

So the other day I wanted something edgy and thought of giving Kiss a try.

Now, I don’t know if I have become more skilled doing stuff to my nails because these were pretty easy to apply, I just filled my nail a little then just peeled the sticker and placed it in my nail.

I just did an accent nail because the stickers are a little bit flamboyant for my taste and just went with one of my favorite Rimmel nail polishes Pink-a-Boo

I loved these because they were easy to apply, no need to wait for them to dry and I have had them for 4 days now and just a little bit chipping in my right nail (but I admit I did house shores), the only thing though is that I only wished they had more designs like the Sally Hansen Do.

So if you are looking for something quick to glam up your nails, give these a try.

Until Next Time

Review | Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers

Hey everyone so I am back on my reviews, I have a lot of new stuff to talk about and I was pretty excited to find these on my drugstore the other day. I am talking about the Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer, now they were released in the UK quite some time ago and now they came to the States, but they renamed them to Show Off Lip Lacquer, I was unsure at first that they were the same, but then I saw the display did say Apocalips (weird right?).

Anyways, I purchased two lip colors for the sake of this review the first one Apocaliptic a bright magenta color and Celestial a more neutral tone. Rimmel claims that this product has the intense and rich color of a lipstick enhanced by a smooth satin shine, ultra-intense, ultra-comfortable- it lasts all day. Packed with pure color pigments, lusciously creamy, conditioning formula promises a never-before combination of color, shine and comfort that last and last.

Now for the sake of this review I applied both of these colors and proceeded with my normal activities of the day.

Using Celestial

Using Apocaliptic

First of all these are dangerous, if you are looking for an easy application on the go this won’t give it to you because you have to be very careful when you apply them (especially the bright colored ones).

These are full coverage they are not joking. If you were expecting a tinted lip gloss let me tell you this is like a liquid lipstick.

Product is completely transferrable, after a couple of hours that I applied this product it was lunch time (and I had to eat) so this buddy got all over my food (and my chin) I was eating a sandwich and my bread had lip color all over it.

On the other hand as the product doesn’t dry, your lips won’t feel dry either.

Let me say that I’m still on the fence playing with them, if I had to pick I would go for the neutral colors only because they are easier to apply and you don’t have to be THAT careful when you apply them (and eat with them). But, if you really want a BRIGHT and VIBRANT color this product will give it to you, you just need to be very careful and have a mirror close to you.

Now for the people who are in the run and have no time for checking in the mirror (honestly who does), I would not recommend it because honestly I ate and had lip color all over my chin which is not something I would enjoy.

Has anyone used these so far? Did you like them?

Until Next Time,

xoxo

Nivea Lip Butters | Not That Special!

I love Lip Butters, I remember my love started when I was at Sephora once and saw the little Korres Lip Butters, those white little pots with colored caps, made me smile, not only I liked the design, when I tried them up man that was a whole different experience in the lip balm world for me.

So when I heard about the NIVEA lip butters, I was curious, not only where they lip butters, but they were not as expensive as the Korres ones. After seeing people rave about them I decided to get one for myself. And here you can see what I think about them.

Have you tried these? Which are your thoughts?

Until Next Time,

Review | Milani Infinite Liquid Eyeliner

Sometimes I just feel there is a thin line between classy and trashy, especially when you are using makeup that is completely out of your comfort zone.

***

When I saw this product I was in awe by the color, I decided to purchase it when I saw a tutorial in YouTube and really liked it.

This is the Milani Infinite Liquid Liner in Infinite if you see it is the most gorgeous bright blue, this dries metallic when applied.

In my opinion, color as I said is very pretty, but when I apply it well I just look trashy, I’ve tried different applications but NO this doesn’t work for me.

Another thing, if you are looking for some waterproof liner you certainly will have it with this product because it is a PAIN to remove literally. Also the brush is a bit pointy and in my case it pinched me it was like trying to apply eyeliner with a pin.

Milani does have other great products like their lipsticks, but for this sorry I would not recommend it.

Has anyone used these?

This isn’t Fair | Tan Towel Review

So I keep going with my tanning experiments (and keep praying that I don’t ruin my skin). A couple of weeks ago I did a first impression post about some Sample Tanning Products I had available and really wanted to try. Today I will tell you all about the Tan Towel, I only had one but it was enough for my experiment so I can give you my thoughts.

This product is basically a BIG wipe which is soaked in tanning product, you can see the picture and really it is big, and I can see why, I mean you are supposed to use this towel for your entire body, which if you ask me I am no petite woman. Anyhow, I started with taking a shower and exfoliating (‘cuz they say it’s important).

Instructions say that you need to start rubbing the towel in circular motions, this product is designed for fair to medium skin tones, with me well my legs are fair and my arms are a bit tanned, so the obvious thing for me was starting with my legs and going up. Also the towel has a lot of product at first.

Product is clear so you don’t see where are you applying the product (which is tricky), but it does dry pretty quick, you need to wait from 2 to 4 hours to see the results so I just went to sleep. Next morning well I’ll just show you the pictures:

This is my leg before and after you can see a huge difference:

I did have tiny streaks in my ankles but I do attribute that to not paying attention when I applied it there:

As you can see in here my hands did not change that much it is because they are somehow tanned:

For my arms well you can see for yourself I did have some trouble applying the product there and it was not that even but it looks decent (maybe I need more practice)

In the end I did have a noticeable streak in my left leg, I just don’t know if it was my fault (which it probably was) but I did try to fix it this morning with the almost dry towel, it did fix a bit, but still is evident that I will not be able to wear any shorts this weekend (unless I cover it with makeup). The picture was before I tried to fix it.

Overall for my first attempt of using a “real” self-tanner it wasn’t a BAD experience, I really like it. Maybe I just need more practice. I think these towelettes are perfect if you have an event and you need to look GLOWY because they do not leave an ORANGE color to your legs, they look more GOLDY and nice. Plus the price is not that bad, you get 5 towelettes for $24.00 dollars and one towel was enough for one use.

So if you are fair or medium skin toned and you want to get some color this will definitely work for you I do recommend it

Additional Advice:

  • Use gloves because even if you wash and wash your hands after they will get a tanned (yep that happened to me).

  • If you can, ask for help for your arms and back do it to ensure an even application.

  • In the end my hands did have some scent not a fun one but not that overpowering.

Until Next Time,

xoxo

Review | Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation

Last year for my birthday my sister knew that I wanted to try the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation; she was nice enough to get it for me, but I think I completely forgot to do a review for all of you. Well you can say that this review will be very accurate because I have tried this foundation in literally all seasons now and can give you my thoughts.

This foundation has been all over in YouTube and most of the reviews I read before purchasing it were very favorable, so that is why I decided to give it a try, Chanel describes this product as hybrid fluid that creates a fresh, natural complexion. Skin looks refined and feels refreshed. The fluid formula has soft, water-light texture, and comes in 10 shades that match perfectly to skin’s undertones, whether pink or beige. Dermatologist-tested. Non-comedogenic. Oil- free. It has SPF 15 (which in my opinion is not enough).

Well after reading all that and seeing all those reviews I was ready and my sister took me to a Chanel counter at Dillard’s and there I received the best treatment, they used all their line (toners, moisturizers, serums, primers & foundation) on me. Of course that after that my face felt like a baby’s butt. And I got it.

When coming home and starting to use it I had to work with it, as this is water based you need to give the bottle a good shake before using it, it took me a week of uses to get the hang of it, because even if I shook it good I could not get an even mix.

Application is easy, you do not have to be a blending pro and feels very natural, I liked this foundation mainly because of the scent, (which is amazing but this is not a perfume). However I noticed that the coverage is very sheer (I could understand why it says ultra-light) and although it makes my face look a bit brighter I do have to go with concealer to get rid of my dark circles and a couple of freckles I have.

Now for my oiliness, well it did make my T-zone shine at the middle of the day when it was summer even if I sealed it with powder, and on winter my skin was strangely dry that I could not use it because I had dry patches and the foundation would strangely sit on those. For autumn and spring it was Ok, but not great.

Overall I don’t think that (at least for me) spending $52.00 dollars for a foundation that has light coverage is justified I do think it is overpriced for what it does for me, especially because I have to go with my oil absorbing sheets in the middle of the day. I am almost over with this foundation, and although I love the scent, well I don’t think I will be purchasing this again. I keep thinking in which conditions I would buy this, and “maybe” it would be if my skin was normal (and it wasn’t that freaking expensive), but only that.

Have you tried this foundation? if so what are your thoughts on it?

Until Next Time,

xoxo
