Friends and Family Sales all Over!! (Sephora & Ulta Haul)

Hello World!! Happy Hump Day! Week has been flying pretty fast for me, and I wanted to do this post before more time passes by, right now as many of you already know Sephora is having its Friends and Family Sale, I wanted to film this showing you a couple of things you can take advantage of while the sale is on because it’s over on Friday!!

I also made a quick stop at Ulta, they were having 20% off, I am not sure if that one’s still going on but if it is make sure to take advantage of that as well. During these sales I really like to stock up on products that are a staple in for me and that I know in normal times I cannot get a discount. Enjoy!!

Until Next Time and Happy Shopping

Happy Friday!

Hey everyone,  so  I am happy happy because it’s finally Friday, I’ve been running up and down all week and I am happy that I have a brief time to breath an relax.

image

In the meantime I have some great reviews comming on the next couple of weeks and a haul!! Who would say that it would be more fun to shop after Christmas…almost every store is having great sales so I’ll keep you posted on that.

image

Yesterday I went to Target because I needed to get some stuff and got carried away by an essie nail polish, it looked so pretty in the display, and then came home, applied it and finished with this.

image

I don’t know, I am still in the meh mood, because on the display picture, the nails looked like a full coverage polish. But then I read in the bottle and it said  top coat…wth I felt miss leaded however I will try to work with it..but no I wouldn’t recommend it to you my friends.

So that’s it for me, I hope you guys enjoy your weekend, be safe, have fun and will see you next time.

This isn’t Fair | Tan Towel Review

So I keep going with my tanning experiments (and keep praying that I don’t ruin my skin). A couple of weeks ago I did a first impression post about some Sample Tanning Products I had available and really wanted to try. Today I will tell you all about the Tan Towel, I only had one but it was enough for my experiment so I can give you my thoughts.

This product is basically a BIG wipe which is soaked in tanning product, you can see the picture and really it is big, and I can see why, I mean you are supposed to use this towel for your entire body, which if you ask me I am no petite woman. Anyhow, I started with taking a shower and exfoliating (‘cuz they say it’s important).

Instructions say that you need to start rubbing the towel in circular motions, this product is designed for fair to medium skin tones, with me well my legs are fair and my arms are a bit tanned, so the obvious thing for me was starting with my legs and going up. Also the towel has a lot of product at first.

Product is clear so you don’t see where are you applying the product (which is tricky), but it does dry pretty quick, you need to wait from 2 to 4 hours to see the results so I just went to sleep. Next morning well I’ll just show you the pictures:

This is my leg before and after you can see a huge difference:

I did have tiny streaks in my ankles but I do attribute that to not paying attention when I applied it there:

As you can see in here my hands did not change that much it is because they are somehow tanned:

For my arms well you can see for yourself I did have some trouble applying the product there and it was not that even but it looks decent (maybe I need more practice)

In the end I did have a noticeable streak in my left leg, I just don’t know if it was my fault (which it probably was) but I did try to fix it this morning with the almost dry towel, it did fix a bit, but still is evident that I will not be able to wear any shorts this weekend (unless I cover it with makeup). The picture was before I tried to fix it.

Overall for my first attempt of using a “real” self-tanner it wasn’t a BAD experience, I really like it. Maybe I just need more practice. I think these towelettes are perfect if you have an event and you need to look GLOWY because they do not leave an ORANGE color to your legs, they look more GOLDY and nice. Plus the price is not that bad, you get 5 towelettes for $24.00 dollars and one towel was enough for one use.

So if you are fair or medium skin toned and you want to get some color this will definitely work for you I do recommend it

Additional Advice:

  • Use gloves because even if you wash and wash your hands after they will get a tanned (yep that happened to me).

  • If you can, ask for help for your arms and back do it to ensure an even application.

  • In the end my hands did have some scent not a fun one but not that overpowering.

Until Next Time,

xoxo

My Favorite Oils

When you are an oily skin person the last thing you think about is applying more oil to your skin or hair. I have had some bad experiences in the past using oils for my face and my hair. I know that nourishing is important, but still I had my reserves, until now.

Last year I received my rewards coupon from Ulta, I was level 2 (like I’ve been for the past 3 years) which gave me the right for a free goodie. When checking out the list I found something that caught my eye Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment. I heard great things about this product all over YouTube, but still I was afraid that it would leave my hair all greasy and yucky (ring a bell Organix?). Thinking that the tiny size costs around $6.00 bucks and wouldn’t be seeing myself paying them I decided to get it.

I am letting my hair grow and for that to be accomplished I don’t go to my stylist that often (because if I go for a trim every 3 months, it won’t grow as fast as I want to) but still I do abuse of my flat and curling irons, so I started using this oil for my ends, every time I went out of the shower, considering that I wash my hair 3 times a week with damp hair I applied a pea size drop of this oil, and used my hair drier. I’ve been doing this religiously for some time now and my hair does not have a single split end.

Considering that I just don’t use any heat protector (because honestly I always forget to) I do think this is a GREAT product. It does not leave my hair greasy and it looks shiny and nourished. Plus it lasts a long time I mean I haven’t even reached half of this tiny bottle (10 ml). So if you ask me, YES I do recommend this product.

Now for my skin, I had to return an ugly product from Sephora and I really didn’t want my cash back (beauty junky alert) this happened around December, so I went for the Josie Maran Argan Oil, before this I read A LOT of reviews saying that this oil was amazing for the face, even if you had oily skin it would work on you, it would not break you out, etc.

So I had to go for it, it is winter and I do feel like I need a little bit of help, I’ve been using this oil for over a month now only at nights and I LOVE IT when I wake up my skin feels so bright and nourished. Not a single breakout derived from this oil which gives it great kudos. I do feel a big change in my skin, so yep I will have to repurchase this product when it’s finished because basically this is my “night moisturizer”.

Have you used any of these products? If so what do you think of them?

Sephora and Target Haul + Bruno Mars

Hello everyone happy hump day, so today I have a small haul for you, yep this is related to my purchase I did at Sephora last weekend, and other things I was able to score at Target (mainly necessities). So check out the video and some pics I was able to take, maybe you can get more Christmas Ideas if you are still in the search of that special gift.

In other matters, if you are a Bruno Mars fan (as I’ve been for the last couple of months) you might now that his new “Unorthodox Jukebox” album released yesterday, and I really had to give this a try, I mean I love his rocking new single “Locked out of Heaven” (which it’s like listening to The Police). Now, I have heard the cd twice, and I don’t know, I am daring to say that I liked his first album more (Doo Woops and Hooligans), but sometimes I have to listen the songs more to fall in love with them. I’ll just say this was not love at first sight (or listen).

So yep that’s all for me today, are you Bruno Mars fan and already got this album? If so what do you think?

Until Next Time,

xoxo
