New Drugstore Lip Products

So I have been noticing that the last couple of month’s drugstore brands have come with amazing lip products. As you know I am currently at Quito, but I had a week off and went to the States, of course I had to make a trip to CVS and Walgreens.

Today I wanted to share with you these products I got and give you my thoughts on them.

NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu. In my trip I discovered that you can get NYX in Target now (YAY!). So this is a neutral gloss, very nice color with a nice vanilla scent and shiny. It does not dry my lips at all which is something I really like from NYX products. Downside, this is not a long lasting product so you would have to re-apply several times a day.

NYX Butter Lip Balm in Ladyfingers. I LOVE this product; it reminded me of the dollar scented lip balms my mom used to buy me from the AVON catalog when I was a child. It has a fruity scent and it is colored. It comes in several colors, I love it.

Maybelline The Elixir in Fuchsia Flourish. I believe these are Maybelline’s interpretation for the YSL Glossy Stains, may I say that this product is something unique, it is glossy and it does have staying power. When I first applied it I must say I felt the product being a bit sticky (which is something I don’t like that much) but the color payoff and the glossy look made me feel very satisfied with this product. Now the applicator is something very similar to the YSL ones.

Revlon Matte Lip Balm in Showy. Revlon did it again, they never cease to amaze me, these balms are GREAT. First of all it has this minty scent which I adore from Revlon products. Second of all it is moisturizing, you know how matte products tend to be drying? Well this is NOT dry, it lasts long time and color payoff is amazing.

Revlon Lacquer Balm in Vivacious. I love the word Lacquer (sounds so fancy lol) this is the perfect Christmas Red Lip Color, the picture doesn’t even do justice to this vibrant red which I love. It is an amazing color, I really recommend you to get this while you can.

All in all I am happy with my lippies, and can say that I am really impressed that drugstore products keep creating great quality products at half the price of High End products.

Have you tried any of these? If so what were your thoughts?

Until Next Time,

xoxo

Princess Peach

The other day while rumbling into my makeup stash I noticed that my world has been twirling towards color peach I don’t know what it is about it but I am just obsessed in love with the color itself.

Tarte Natural Cheek Tint in Achiote. I love this product, when I first used it I was not very sure because it is a little bit light for my skin tone but honestly this product is pretty buildable and works amazing as a base or for the days when I only want a bit of color.

Soap & Glory A Great Kisser Lip Moisture Balm. You know I am a sucker for balms and things that smell nice, well after hearing great things about this product I went and purchased it I do like it because of the peach scent it it goes clear and I like using it again on days that I don’t want anything else.

Jordana LOL Super Shinny Lip Gloss in BTW. Ok this is shinny and I like using this one on top of a neutral lip; it smells amazing and price is great at only $1.99 USD at Walgreens.

Revlon Lipstick in Smoked Peach. Love the color this is a great product, the only thing is that as it is a matte product you need to hydrate your lips before applying it.

Ulta Nail Polish. Sorry guys could not find the name of this, but this is an old one and I believe this did not make it for the revamp of the Ulta Polishes. However this color is just gorgeous I love it because it goes with every outfit I could ever think of.

And I forgot to add it to the picture, but right now my favorite candle is Peach Bellini from Bath and Body Works I have a mini-size and I just love it.

Do you Like Peach Color?

Until Next Time

xoxo

Review | Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation

For this summer drugstore brands are aiming for products that have a natural feeling to your skin (you know as if you were not wearing any makeup but still look as if you slept 8 hours every day). Honestly nobody wants to feel as if they are wearing a mask, today calls for natural looks and easy applications (because who has time to blend blend blend). Revlon entered the market with its own Nearly Naked Foundation and Powder, when I saw the name naked in instantly thought about Urban Decay and its entire Naked Line.

My background with Revlon has been using their Colorstay foundation for oily skin, and I like it, but I do consider it a bit heavy for every day. That is why I was really curious about the Nearly Naked foundation.

First of all, the design, I need a pump please and let me tell you why, when I use any of the Revlon foundations I tend to waste a lot of product, also the bottle is glass, so you need to treat it carefully and keep it away from children.

However, the foundation itself is AMAZING, it is lightweight which means this will give you a light to medium coverage. Do not expect this will take away all of your discoloration or get rid of your dark circles because it won’t, but it will brighten your skin and will make you look very natural as if you were applying a tinted moisturizer with more power. I can easily go after that with my Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer and get rid of my dark circles without my face looking cakey.

It comes with SPF 20 which I think is decent for a drugstore foundation. Now, how does this react with my oily skin? Well when I first started using it I did break out a bit but I always do when I change foundations. Sometimes, depending on the weather I do have to go with an Oil Absorbing Sheet at lunch time on my T-Zone (especially because I wear glasses), but nothing bad, foundation does stay on place and I look good the entire day.

Color Range is good, they came out with 15 different shades which gives you a wide range to select the color that suits you better, what I did is I took my favorite foundation to the drugstore and try to match it, or you can also take Revlon’s test at their website in order to see which one is the best for you.

Price is decent around $7.00 to $8.00 depending where you buy it and I really think is a good drugstore option if you are in the need of a budget friendly lightweight foundation. All in all, YES this is an approved product for me and I would repurchase.

Have you tried this foundation? If so, what are your thoughts?

Until Next Time,

xoxo

March Beauty Favorites

It is that time of the month again, yes when I talk about my beauty favorites. March was a month that flew by pretty fast, but at the same time there were days when I just needed a break LOL. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed your March month, and are starting to enjoy warmer days now that spring arrived (I know I am).

BTW, you may notice in the video that I have my hair very very straight, well I did a tutorial on that which will be up very soon, so if you have wavy hair and want to get rid of it stay tuned.

Until Next Time,

xoxo

Spring Nails

I’ve been hearing here and there that spring is right around the corner, I think I’ve mentioned in a couple of posts as well, but dang I am so cold today that I don’t see winter giving me a break any time soon. Anyways, that didn’t stop me from playing with spring colors on my nails.

On Saturday, I went and got my gel nails removed because 1. They grew 2. I didn’t want them anymore and 3. I needed some color in my nails. You could say I got overboard, but I think I saw a similar look in a post I read last week and I saw it in a YouTube video. I just thought it was so cute, and even though it took some Frankenstein Collection of Nail Polishes I am very happy with the results, only hopping that this will last the entire week.

Nail Polishes I used:

  • Wet n Wild – I Need a Refresh Mint
  • Nabi – Neon Light Pink
  • Sinful Colors – Unicorn
  • Essie – Turqoise & Caicos
  • Revlon – Gum Drop

Until Next Time,

xoxo

Hey everyone, happy Monday! So here I am today starting a new week. So if you haven’t noticed by now I kind of suck for making cool designs in my nails, so yesterday I saw this cool idea about some ombre nails in lilac and purple… long story short it didn’t work..jeje so I ended up with this:
