Friends and Family Sales all Over!! (Sephora & Ulta Haul)

Hello World!! Happy Hump Day! Week has been flying pretty fast for me, and I wanted to do this post before more time passes by, right now as many of you already know Sephora is having its Friends and Family Sale, I wanted to film this showing you a couple of things you can take advantage of while the sale is on because it’s over on Friday!!

I also made a quick stop at Ulta, they were having 20% off, I am not sure if that one’s still going on but if it is make sure to take advantage of that as well. During these sales I really like to stock up on products that are a staple in for me and that I know in normal times I cannot get a discount. Enjoy!!

Until Next Time and Happy Shopping

A little bit of this, a little bit of that

Hey everyone, so today I wanted to show you a couple of things I got and hadn’t had the time to write about. Also, I will be traveling in a couple of weeks so I really wanted to do this before I get into the activity of planning and packing and completely forgetting about it…LOL.

First of all, from Forever 21 they seem to have cool stuff right now, you know for me this store is kind of a hit and miss because there will be times when I go and I just can’t find anything, but then there are times when I just feel like taking the entire store (if I only could…) so these are a couple of things that caught my eye and thought are really worth sharing with you.

First of all, and my favorite one a “Back to the Future” Jumper, OMG I love that movie, and I really could not let this pass, while trying it out I even started singing “That’s the power of love” (Yes I am cheesy like that). Next thing is this beautiful blouse with flowers print, with spring coming (which I don’t know when ‘cuz I am freezing right now) I thought that this would be a nice piece in my collection. Also I got a makeup bag, I thought that one was pretty and the perfect size to fit all I need to take in my upcoming trip.

Also I saw these earrings, I noticed that jewelry does vary depending on the Forever 21 you visit, and let me tell you this was the first time I liked the one in this store, I fell in love of the Austin’s Forever 21 (too bad is far away from me). But I got these earrings which I thought would be great for work, especially the blue ones, with a ballerina bun, black sweater and boom!! you are ready to go.

The next thing I saw was their new makeup line, which by the design I will not deny reminded me a bit of the Top Shop brand, they have an entire display full of makeup, and I will say that I was tempted of getting a lot of the stuff I saw, but to be honest, I am trying to limit my makeup purchases and some of the products I tested them in the store and didn’t think were worth it (blushes are not nice). They did have some pretty single eyeshadows, but men I cannot buy anymore. So I only purchased a lipstick and lip gloss, these are very pretty, lipstick is this coral color very pigmented and smells fruity, and the lip gloss reminded me to my Dior lip gloss.

I also got a “beauty blender” because mine is coming to an end and I really wanted to give this one a try, I will have to report back later on that one since I haven’t used it yet. I also got a detangler brush, honestly I needed one for my bag and thought this one was pretty.

My last stop was lush and Bath and Body Works, I went to lush because since the last time I went there I wanted to get their Sea Spray, I am trying to style my hair without heat because to be honest I’ve been abusing my hot tools, and I really need to give my hair a rest, so this product is perfect to style my hair. I also purchased a lip gloss called “The Kiss” (Oh La La) I tried it at the store and loved it, the lady said it was limited edition for Valentine’s Day so I considered it my gift lol!

And the last thing was from BBW, I went straight for the Sleep Pillow Mist, I love this stuff, I spray it before going to sleep and believe me that I sleep without waking up until next morning, it’s very calming and relaxing and smells amazing, so I got the body cream as well. If you get the chance try these products they are amazing.

And that’s all for me right now! Have you tried one of these products?? If so what are your thoughts??

Happy Friday!

Hey everyone,  so  I am happy happy because it’s finally Friday, I’ve been running up and down all week and I am happy that I have a brief time to breath an relax.

image

In the meantime I have some great reviews comming on the next couple of weeks and a haul!! Who would say that it would be more fun to shop after Christmas…almost every store is having great sales so I’ll keep you posted on that.

image

Yesterday I went to Target because I needed to get some stuff and got carried away by an essie nail polish, it looked so pretty in the display, and then came home, applied it and finished with this.

image

I don’t know, I am still in the meh mood, because on the display picture, the nails looked like a full coverage polish. But then I read in the bottle and it said  top coat…wth I felt miss leaded however I will try to work with it..but no I wouldn’t recommend it to you my friends.

So that’s it for me, I hope you guys enjoy your weekend, be safe, have fun and will see you next time.

Quito Haul Pt. 2

Hey everyone, so today is Haul Day!! basically I am still in Quito which has been great so far. I would only have to mention that I am recovering from a horrible cold and a stomachache, but other than that I keep being optimistic.

Weather is unique let me tell you, you can definitely have 4 seasons in one day, but still nothing that a coat, scarf and umbrella can’t resolve. But let’s go to our main reason for this post the haul. So this weekend we got the chance to go shopping…and boy did I shop. So I wanted to share with all of you, hope you enjoy!!

Until Next Time,

xoxo

The First CVS Opens in El Paso Downtown

If you live in El Paso, TX area or you have been here for a visit you might have noticed that we have Walgreens in almost every corner. You can find a lot of things in Walgreens but I’ve always wanted to go to a CVS, I always hear about people talking about things they purchase at CVS that honestly cannot be found at Walgreen’s or other drugstores near our area.

So on Friday afternoon my sister and I went downtown, which we typically don’t do (but I had Jury Duty) and we wanted to see what was it all about.

Feeling a bit of the downtown vibe my sis near the CVS

First thing, store looks very nice and neat, looks very clean and organized. They do have quite a big selection of products. This is the first drugstore I go (besides Ulta, which I don’t see much as a drugstore) that has high end brands for your hair. I mean I was able to notice Paul Mitchell and Moroccan Oil beside Aussie and Suave products who can beat that?

Very new, clean and neat aisles

For makeup, yes they did have tons and tons of products available, BUT and this is a big but for me, I could not find a good sale, yes they gave you money back in your extra care card when you purchased something but I don’t know, I don’t think that is something that makes me say YES take my money.

On the other side, we did see that the got2b brand was having HALF PRICE on all their products, which is amazing cause I wanted to get their Volumizing Powder (I heard awesome things of this product) and it was half the price. I also ended up getting some makeup remover wipes from their own brand (which I used last night and now love).

Who could say no to a $3.00 dollar volumizer…that works great!!

Now, overall it is OK, but I don’t see me coming back anytime soon, unless I find they have some of their so raved sales or need wine from the drugstore. Another thing we noticed is this, our downtown area kind of outstands for having cheap inexpensive stores, so I am still thinking if this will work? Honestly because the prices are not that cheap, but we will see and time will tell.

So now, I don’t know if I imagined or we just need to wait for some sales, so please go to the poll below and let me know:

And if you have any comments about this please let me know in the comments section below

Until Next Time

My No Spending Month: February Results

My No Spending Month February Update

No spending money on things you love is so hard, it’s almost the end of February and I must admit I broke down this month. I was disappointed in the beginning but then I said to myself you have to hop into that horse again and keep moving forward.

So here I am giving you a small update on my not that successful February goal, but I feel that I need to be honest, because I am human and I am not perfect, but I know that I can improve. So first week I think went with no problems at all, second week was when I got caught at Wal-Mart in the makeup aisle, how did that happen? I just can’t remember, the thing I do is that I ended up with a foundation and a powder…yep I did it. (I don’t regret it because to my luck they are amazing products and I dare to say I have finally found my Holy Grail drugstore foundation) Nonetheless, it feels so bad writing about it that I think I won’t be cheating again. So even though that was my slip on this month I do have high hopes in finishing it with only that damage.

On my savings side, well besides spending those 15 bucks I think I am getting better, I did have some expenses with Valentine’s Day and my hubs birthday, but I keep seeing the light. I hope that for April I would have a bigger piggy bank (fingers crossed).

Another thing I started doing is downsizing my makeup, which you can go and check out here you can go and read why I decided to do this there, and can expect further posts/videos while I downsize each of my makeup drawers.

I think that this exercise will help me become more aware of all the things I have and why I don’t need to buy stuff unless I need them because they are finished.

Until Next Time,

xoxo

What to buy with $5.00 bucks?

I remember when I was a kid and my grandpa used to give me my allowance, oh glorious days where with only a dollar you could make the world your own… or at least that’s what I thought while making the candy man rich. Today I am learning about the value of money, but what would I do if my grandpa was here and he gave me $5.00 dollars to spend? Well maybe I will hit the drugstore (ok that sounded bad) and get some beauty items (ok that is less creepy).

Here I have some ideas of what I could buy:

  • Nivea Lip Butter Tins $3.99. These are the hype right now, they are all over beauty blogs and YouTube channels, what are they? Well basically cute lip butters in a nice and small tin. I haven’t tried them yet but I would really like to, in flavors from caramel cream kiss to raspberry rose kiss they seem to be a nice product to carry in your makeup bag. I had tried other products from Nivea and I really liked them so I am guessing this would be a good purchase.

  • Jordana Easyshine Glossy Lip Color $1.99. I remember when I was at high school and Jordana used to be a brand only sold in a small store near my house, this was cheap makeup and not that bad but not that good. Nowadays, Jordana has improved and has surprised me, my sister got this one a while ago in Watermelon Juice and I used it and instantly fell in love, it smells watermelon and it is a bit sheer but while applying it through the day the color intensifies giving you these bright pink lips. And for the price you cannot go wrong.

  • Wet n Wild Trio $2.99. You can never go wrong with these little palettes, they are pigmented, very easy to blend and you can create the coolest looks with these. My favorite ones: Silent Treatment and Walking on Eggshells.

  • Wet n Wild Lipstick $.99 cents. With that price I could buy me 4 different colors which is amazing, I love these lippies because they work amazing they are not sheer and they don’t dry my lips (either way I always apply lip balm before).

What would you buy with $5.00?
