Organizing my makeup

Having my makeup stash organized has been an arduous task lately, especially when I am running late (which is 90% of the time), I was thinking on purchasing a couple of clear containers to organize my makeup, but gosh they are freaking expensive. Until the other day that I was at Wal-Mart trying to find a lock for my gym locker.

I was amazed to find this and it was less than $7.00 dollars, they do have several different shapes and prices, but in comparison they are inexpensive,  I think they are great for storing makeup while looking great.  I love how my makeup looks and I cam see everything!! So if you are looking for some great containers go to Wal-Mart,  they are in their DIY Home Improvement section.

Friends and Family Sales all Over!! (Sephora & Ulta Haul)

Hello World!! Happy Hump Day! Week has been flying pretty fast for me, and I wanted to do this post before more time passes by, right now as many of you already know Sephora is having its Friends and Family Sale, I wanted to film this showing you a couple of things you can take advantage of while the sale is on because it’s over on Friday!!

I also made a quick stop at Ulta, they were having 20% off, I am not sure if that one’s still going on but if it is make sure to take advantage of that as well. During these sales I really like to stock up on products that are a staple in for me and that I know in normal times I cannot get a discount. Enjoy!!

Until Next Time and Happy Shopping

Riding Cowgirl and look at my restaurant

Hey everyone, as I am traveling to visit my family for the weekend I tought I would write something. I am excited I miss them a lot so every time I have the chance of visiting I do.

Today at the airport we found a Rodeo display as it is Rodeo time in Houston and had to take a picture. It looks so real!!

image

After that a strawberry margarita had to follow because lord mercy it was hot today.

I also remembered about something; a couple of weeks ago I went with a friend to visit some outlets in Houston which I wish I would remember the name, but I don’t. Anyways I found a restaurant with my name which was odd and cool at the same time.

Anyways, those were today’s oddities I hope you enjoy and see you next time.

Is Kat Von D too much for me? And what’s been going on?

Traveling this week to visit my family…Yay!! I am very excited and happy every time I get to see them. Anyways today while doing my Packing list I thought about talking a little bit new products I’ve been using for the past couple of weeks.

201403_00

First of all let’s start with Kat Von D Lock – It Tattoo Foundation I purchased this in exchange to my Laura Mercier  – Tinted Moisturizer Oil Free which I must say did not cause a big of an impact for me, and makes me prefer way more drugstore brands besides this one, I also thought it was overpriced for the results it delivered. As I was returning this one I thought I would try the Kat Von D foundation because I heard great things about it, especially for Oily skin.

Well I got it, and let me just say this, foundation is very full coverage, I’ve never seen or tried something like it, a little bit goes a long way and photographs really nice, the package comes with a pump which is always something I give big kudos to because it is easier to apply, and it comes with a lot of product (30 ml), price wise is not that expensive as other brands at $34.00 USD and If you have oily skin this would work for you.

Now, you must be shocked of my next following words, I will be returning this product. It is not that the product is not a love, and it really is a great foundation, but I consider is too heavy for me, I tried applying it with my beauty blender to give it a more sheer appearance, but all the time it looks as if I am wearing a lot of makeup, which for an office employee that might give a different impression lol…

This is NOT a bad foundation in all means, and it did work for my oily skin, I was not a shiny ball after a long day, even after going to the gym. But it’s just not suited for me. However it depends on what you are looking for, as I said it looks great in pictures, but in person I look like wearing makeup, lots of it.

The next product I have is from Clinique OMG this is freaking cute, I saw it and fell in love, you know how much I love blush, so they released new blushes with great colors they are called Cheek Pops  I abstained myself in only getting one so I purchased Berry Pop which is a beautiful color I love it pigmentation is very good they are not chalky and you can really build the color up.

And the last thing I have is my new love, my must desired for years Tory Burch flats, these things men they are expensive, but are so beautiful and look so nice with everything. The perfect flat for work, going out, hanging with friends, etc. I am still in the process of breaking them in to see if the theory it’s true that they will become the comfiest pair of flats ever. But so far so good I love them and have been wearing them nonstop.

Until Next Time,

xoxo

Does It Work? Soho Travel Perfume Atomizer

So while walking inside CVS found this little gem. It’s from the brand SOHO I have to say it is a little nag to fill but works good at carrying your favorite scent in your bag especially if you have a full size perfume.

image

I used it with my benefit fave perfume in “So hooked with Carmella” cuz it doesn’t come with an atomizer and I don’t like traveling with it because of that, but with this I can now take it everywhere.

Until next time

Take Me To The Happy Place

Happy Friday everyone, so today I have a review/swatches of this fabulous eyeshadow palette I found recently, let me say that I am really amazed by it and has been one of my favorites since last month.

I am talking about Bare Minerals “The Happy Place” eyeshadow quad. I found this at Sephora and Love it; the pigmentation is amazing, shadows are buttery and soft, very easy to apply and blend. This has been my go to run around look for the entire month.

One thing is that it is a bit pricey around the $38.00 dollars which is a bit ouch, but if you are looking for good shadows in a small palette I think these are great. I know I have had a love and hate relationship with this brand in the past, but for these shadows my love came back lol.

Have you used BareMinerals products? What are your thoughts on this brand??

Until Next Time

xoxo

A little bit of this, a little bit of that

Hey everyone, so today I wanted to show you a couple of things I got and hadn’t had the time to write about. Also, I will be traveling in a couple of weeks so I really wanted to do this before I get into the activity of planning and packing and completely forgetting about it…LOL.

First of all, from Forever 21 they seem to have cool stuff right now, you know for me this store is kind of a hit and miss because there will be times when I go and I just can’t find anything, but then there are times when I just feel like taking the entire store (if I only could…) so these are a couple of things that caught my eye and thought are really worth sharing with you.

First of all, and my favorite one a “Back to the Future” Jumper, OMG I love that movie, and I really could not let this pass, while trying it out I even started singing “That’s the power of love” (Yes I am cheesy like that). Next thing is this beautiful blouse with flowers print, with spring coming (which I don’t know when ‘cuz I am freezing right now) I thought that this would be a nice piece in my collection. Also I got a makeup bag, I thought that one was pretty and the perfect size to fit all I need to take in my upcoming trip.

Also I saw these earrings, I noticed that jewelry does vary depending on the Forever 21 you visit, and let me tell you this was the first time I liked the one in this store, I fell in love of the Austin’s Forever 21 (too bad is far away from me). But I got these earrings which I thought would be great for work, especially the blue ones, with a ballerina bun, black sweater and boom!! you are ready to go.

The next thing I saw was their new makeup line, which by the design I will not deny reminded me a bit of the Top Shop brand, they have an entire display full of makeup, and I will say that I was tempted of getting a lot of the stuff I saw, but to be honest, I am trying to limit my makeup purchases and some of the products I tested them in the store and didn’t think were worth it (blushes are not nice). They did have some pretty single eyeshadows, but men I cannot buy anymore. So I only purchased a lipstick and lip gloss, these are very pretty, lipstick is this coral color very pigmented and smells fruity, and the lip gloss reminded me to my Dior lip gloss.

I also got a “beauty blender” because mine is coming to an end and I really wanted to give this one a try, I will have to report back later on that one since I haven’t used it yet. I also got a detangler brush, honestly I needed one for my bag and thought this one was pretty.

2014_02_HM03

My last stop was lush and Bath and Body Works, I went to lush because since the last time I went there I wanted to get their Sea Spray, I am trying to style my hair without heat because to be honest I’ve been abusing my hot tools, and I really need to give my hair a rest, so this product is perfect to style my hair. I also purchased a lip gloss called “The Kiss” (Oh La La) I tried it at the store and loved it, the lady said it was limited edition for Valentine’s Day so I considered it my gift lol!

And the last thing was from BBW, I went straight for the Sleep Pillow Mist, I love this stuff, I spray it before going to sleep and believe me that I sleep without waking up until next morning, it’s very calming and relaxing and smells amazing, so I got the body cream as well. If you get the chance try these products they are amazing.

And that’s all for me right now! Have you tried one of these products?? If so what are your thoughts??

My TOP 13 of 2013

Hello my friends, today while writing I noticed a pattern I am currently only posting on Friday’s, I don’t know why but seems fit right now, lol. So today I wanted to talk a little bit about my TOP 13 products of 2013, which let me say the majority of this products are still part of my favorites.

These products came with me in my Long Ecuadorian Journey and I would say they saved me big time while being away. As time passes by I noticed that I am more defined on the products that suit me well, don’t get me wrong I do LOVE trying new products, but for quite some time (almost half part of the year) these were the products that helped my skin in times of need (especially because Makeup in South America is freakingly expensive…Almost $20 USD for a Maybelline Mascara…gimme a break).

So here they are my Most Loved products of 2013, hoping that you enjoy. If you have any comments please leave them below!!

Until Next Time,

xoxo

PS. BTW I was asked to do a review for the Maybelline Pore Eraser by the lovely MuaByNikki, hang in there girl that review will be definitely coming next week so stay tuned.
