Dry Shampoo’s

Yesterday, I was talking to a friend who recently moved to the states from other country. We were talking about hair stuff (because you all know I love hair products and experimenting with my hairstyles). Anyways, at some point she was telling me that she saw a video in YouTube because she wanted to learn how to curl her hair, and she asked me about dry shampoo because she saw the girl using it at some point.

And you know how passionate I am about Dry Shampoo, my motto is, If you are trying to grow your hair do not wash it every single day, the majority of the stylists if not all will tell you the same.

Thankfully we now have dry shampoo, which will help you those days, because nobody wants to be walking with oily greasy hair. Also, you can use dry shampoo if you need to give volume to your hair (which I am guessing the girl in the video did) not necessarily only if you have dirty hair.

Now, I have tried a big variety of dry shampoo’s over the years you name it I used it, and as my hair is dark it is harder to find a good product that doesn’t leave your scalp white. I use it because YES I do not wash my hair every day because I am trying to let it grow and I have a lot, so washing it is a nightmare.

Today I will talk a bit about my recent faves:

1. Batiste. This is my number 1 product I love it because it is designed for brunettes and it really works at making my hair look clean, I just only wished scent was better, but still I love the results it gives. You can find this at Ulta but is a bit pricey around $8.00 USD for a bottle, but I buy mine at Marshalls and it is less expensive :).

2. Dove. In love with the scent but it does leave a white cast so you need to comb your hair very good after you apply it, this buddy is inexpensive, you can find it at walmart for around $3.00 USD. I heard some people saying that this doesn’t last a lot, but I had mine for the longest time (not sure if they got a lemon).

3. Suave Conditioner. This is the first product I saw that came with dry shampoo and dry conditioner, I finished the shampoo (which did not amaze me…sorry), but this conditioner I like, I don’t know if it really works or just in my mind but I like applying it sometimes after the dry shampoo, not totally necessary but I want to finish it up.

4. Oscar Blandi. I bought this for my wedding day, I love it because this is the first CLEAR shampoo I use, it is very easy to apply for the same reason and it has a nice scent to it, not overwhelming at all.

5. Detox by Dry Bar. I got this as a YouTube made me do it kind of thing, people rave a lot about this brand, it does work but it is white I think this would work great if you are a blond, but I really cannot justify the price, this little bottle cost me around $12.00 USD.

So I hope this help you all, have you used any of these shampoo’s?

Until next time,

xoxo

A girl of the 90’s enjoying the 2000’s

It looks like it was yesterday when I was graduating high school and starting my college life. Feeling as if I was invincible and nothing could touch me. I felt GREAT and CONFUSED at the same time, an almost adult trying to make the best decisions I could. I won’t deny it, now that I remember some of the decisions I took were not the most coherent ones, but they made me who I am today and I am really happy of that.

I do remember that music was a BIG part of me while being a student, there was something about music that really transported me to a perfectly ethereal place and gave me the confidence to achieve anything I wanted. Music was my push to wake up, go to school, do my chores, homework, study, my company in countless free hours I had.

So today we are taking a travel back in time, to my favorite artists, the ones that helped me with my English (yes my native language was Spanish). Today when I listen to this music I feel happy because it brings me back to good old moments and that’s neat.

1. Garbage. This was the first group I saw that made me say WOAH this red hair girl is unique. I remember spending my afternoons while doing homework watching MTV videos and when their PUSH IT video was released I was like this video is….strange, and I could not stop watching it. There was something weird about that band that I liked and I really enjoyed listening to them.

2. The Cardigans. Of course we might all remember their hit song from the Romeo and Juliet’s movie but I loved MY FAVOURITE GAME  fast driving in the highway so fearless (don’t do it kid’s) and the accident at the end and her getting hit by the rock LMFAO.

3. Limp Bizkit. This group was hardcore for the time (even the hubs confirmed that!), but there was something about them that made me like some of their songs especially BREAK STUFF. I don’t know why I just liked it so I thought it was worth mentioning it here. And I could confirm that in that time red caps and white T-Shirts where the bomb.

4. Boy Bands. YES!! 360 degree change here, I must admit I was a boy band girl, Westlife with Swear it Again, Take That with Back for Good, Backstreet Boys with all their albums, I loved their songs and when I hear them today I still can sing them!

5. Natalie Imbruglia. I loved her and her TORN song, the video was so simple but I loved her thrift style outfit (which probably was a very expensive one) and her distressed haircut (which I tried to get…total FAIL btw!!) I could see this video over and over again.

Do you remember some of these Videos? Which was the music that defined you in your younger years?

Until Next Time,

xoxo

Getting #RadiantWithAVEENO

Hello everybody, happy almost Friday everybody, this week was very busy for me, month end is comming and you know it can drive someone cray cray. Especially since I am training someone (more on that on other post) Anyways, I have a little time off so I want to talk about a product that I started using a couple of weeks ago. Honestly in the past I had some trouble finding a good face moisturizer. I know it is important to moisturize your face day and night, but as I always have had oily skin I must admit I sometimes tend to skip that step from my routine.

However, when I do use moisturizers I tend to use the same for morning and night, I don’t know why but I really feel it is a hassle to have night and day cream, it’s just too much for me, especially if I am running from one way to another. So a couple of weeks I received the Aveeno Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector complimentary of Influenster for testing purposes.

Let’s be honest, I know this is a tone corrector moisturizer (and I do have some hyper-pigmentation), but in there it says you can use it day and night so I was sold with that. The product is a bit expensive around $16.00 in the drugstore and comes with 1.1fl Oz. Scent is like mostly Aveeno products, if you had use them you’ll know what I am talking about. Product comes out lightweight and a little bit goes a long way, I normally use a pea size amount, and have been using it constantly day and night for the past 2 or 3 weeks.

Now, I honestly have not noticed a big change in my hyper-pigmentation, but this moisturizer is the bomb.com, let me explain why, basically it has not broken me out in any way, and does not make my makeup look shinny crazy during the day. This is a very big deal if you have very Oily Skin and are in the middle of the summer in a hot humid weather. So YES I love this moisturizer, maybe it’s not why because it was designed for but hey it works great, so I really appreciate receiving this little bottle and definitely will repurchase when this is over, which I guess will not be soon cuz I still have a heck load of product left.

Have you used this moisturizer? If so what you thought about it?

Until Next Time,

xoxo

Hey everybody, I’m back from a couple of weeks of hard working! This past few weekend I had the opportunity of visiting my parents in a very very short trip I had to make. I really enjoyed it, but If I am honest with you I am very very tired, maybe it was the lack of sleep lol. But anyways today I wanted to talk about my new and beloved PROJECT PAN, I did one of these some time ago and while cleaning my makeup stuff a couple of weeks ago realized that I really needed to start one ASAP.

There’s something about Project Pans that makes me love them and hate them at the same time, because I get to use what I have in my stash, but at the same time I am not allowed to buy makeup which hurts when you love makeup hahaha! Anyways in today’s video I talk about my new project pan the products that will be there and will be posting updates very soon, cuz really a couple of weeks have passed since I started (I have no shame!).

Snack Time

Hey everyone! Today is Snack Snack Time, I gotta be honest I love me some sweets, but when you are trying to take care of your health and what you eat you need to be smart so what I did today was something similar lol, I love chocolate, but I know that can be all sugary so what I do is I buy dark chocolate and mix it with almonds, this is a decadent desert, very delicious and a small piece of this can help you with those sweet cravings. Enjoy!

As you can see in the video this desert is very easy to make and if you have kids they can help too!!

Hope you enjoyed!

Until Next Time,

xoxo
